Preston, age 4

Oh, Preston.  Most four year-olds pretty funny, but YOU, you're HILARIOUS.  If your future doesn't include acting, I'll be mighty surprised.

Um, are you KIDDING me with that look, Kid?!  That one above definitely ranks way up there on my favorites list.  WHOA.

Towards the end of the session, there really wasn't much left to do than DANCE.  Our pick?  "Cruise" by Florida Georgia Line featuring Nelly, one of Preston's and my personal favorites.  Judge away; we have no shame!

Happy birthday, Preston!  What a joy and an honor it has been photographing for you the last three & a half years!  Your mom & I have already started planning your senior pictures and I can't WAIT to see what a great young man you become.

Matt, Emily & Ryleigh

Seriously, my friends make THE cutest kids.  I know, you're probably thinking, "Well, of course she's biased."  I don't think I am.  The proof is in the pudding, people!

This shoot was meant to be only of Ryleigh, but I was able to talk Mom & Dad into joining in.  You see, Emily "didn't have make-up on and her hair wasn't done."  Matt "needed a hair cut and was just wearing a t-shirt."  Here's the deal:  Not only are they going to be glad they jumped in these pictures right now, but Ryleigh is the one who will really treasure these.

Also?  I actually super love their laid-back, "undone" style; much more natural.

I can't wait to see Ryleigh in another six months, when she'll be even MORE full of personality, I'm guessing!

Adam, Myra, Jack & Baby Girl

Adam & Myra are a hard couple to forget.  I was incredibly lucky enough to be chosen as their wedding photographer a little over two years ago.  You might remember this:

As magical as their wedding was, what's even better is they have now begun their family, first with little Jack, and now they're awaiting their [sure to be beautiful] Baby Girl.

For the most part, I, pretty much, forced them into this session.  (What can I say?  They really are such an awesome family!)  Mama Myra had adorable visions of Little Jack snuggling up on her belly, but let's face it, and as I've said before, the best laid plans often go astray.  Jack was a tired little boy upon his arrival and promptly fell asleep:

This gave Mama &amp; I plenty of time to photograph her alone.  And you know what she said?  She's not photogenic.  Let's just take a 'lil look-see and I'll let you form your own opinions on THAT:

Then we brought Adam, Baby Daddy, and one of my oldest friends, into the photos and, well, these ought to speak for themselves.  Enjoy!

Gosh, it's really too bad they take such *terrible* photos!  ;)

Kayla & Jeremy | Omaha Engagement Photographer

I have known Kayla's aunt, Jamie, for quite some time.  (She's another creepy internet friend - - dang, it's a miracle I haven't been offed yet!)  We became fast friends once we met in person, bonding over our love for Olive Garden's soup, salad & breadsticks and wine.  Jamie's great; she's the type of person who will do anything for you, like get you business cards in, oh, 45 minutes because you've procrastinated for weeks and have a networking event in 2 hours.

Last Fall, I finally got to meet Jamie's whole family for a portrait session at the studio and this included meeting her niece, Kayla, and her fiancé, Jeremy.   After leaving, Jamie called and told me Kayla just HAD to have me for her & Jeremy's engagement session.  I wasn't sayin' no; I don't get enough of these!

I am so, so glad they chose me.  We had a TON of fun.  Past the fun, though, I was able to see that Kayla and Jeremy are much like their aunt; good, genuine, do-anything-for-anyone kind of people.  And boy, do they LOVE each other.

Ditmars Orchard, once again, provided the perfect backdrop for their sunset session.
